Engraved frontispiece of Queen Victoria, engraved allegorical title; 45 engraved County maps with engraved vignettes, and 4 town plans, 2 with vignettes, and 22 world and country maps hand-coloured in outline. Together with a further 11 engraved portraits and plates. 4to (11 x 8 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches), pages: viii:984. contemporary full tan calf, wide giltornamental border to sides enclosing central decorations in gilt and blind, all edges marbled. Spine faded, crack to upper joint but firm. Corners rubbed through, lower cover scuffed. Two inch tear to margin of the Middlesex map with old taped repair to verso. Generally clean within. The maps of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Herefordshire, Huntingdonshire, Monmouthshire, Northumberland, and the West Riding of Yorkshire very slightly shaved by the binder. Weight 3.365 kg thus extra overseas postage will be requested,
