About This Item
Paris: L. Mulo, Editeur, 1904. Soft cover. Fair. The spine is sunned, chipped, with nicks and peeling with front cover partially detached and the binding has a whole somewhat compromised though still holding together. There is foxing on the endpapers and text margins throughout but in the latter case only perceptible under close examination. Soiled covers. Text overall is in a good even excellent state but the three foldout maps/panoramas have yellowed, small tears and creases. It is clear that in order to print the over 80 photogravures the paper used for the text is less acidic (glossier like magazines) than the grade of paper used for the maps and endpapers. Inlcudes ten pages of ads in rose colored paper. Overall this copy of a scarce collectible title still has a commanding presence.
