North Berwick: R. P. Phillimore, 1911. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 12mo. "With over 60 Pen Drawings by the Author"; pp. vii (adverts), [7], 134, [4 - adverts], [2]. Two black and white frontispiece plates, numerous in-text illustrations. Cloth backed stiff card boards, a little general wear and rubbing, slightly frayed to the bottom of the spine. Contents clean and tight, no inscriptions, original end papers. A very good copy. [Bibliographic note: chapter XIV is entitled 'Feathered Inhabitants'. Phillimore was a renowned artist and publisher of postcards, several of the adverts in this book are for his postcards - 'The "Phillimore" Water Colour Post Cards. Landscape and Rustic Series (Hand-coloured)', illustrated with a postcard of Tawny Owls.].
