Large format paperback. ii,42pp. This musical ballad, for chorus and orchestra, was composed expressly for the Fifth Triennial Dover Musical Festival, May 1913. The words are by Charles Mackay with music by H J Taylor. Mackay was a Scottish songwriter, poet and writer. The Battle of Inkerman, 1854, took place in the Crimean War (1854-6). Original blue printed covers. On the front wrapper and title page the price of one shilling is overstamped,'The price of this work has been increased to 1/6 net'; else a very good plus copy of a VERY SCARCE patriotic ballad. NO inscriptions.. First Edition. Large format paperback.. Very Good Plus.
