Many pages have marginal notes and comments about marine duty, skills, and errors in General Zinni's thought processes and writing- very entertaining. Book Condition: Near Fine. DJ: VG+ wear to head and heel at spine. Green boards with dark green cloth overlay on spine with bright gold lettering on spine. 450 pp. A Tom Clancy Commander's book. This book follows the evolution of both General Zinni and the Marine Corps from the cauldron of Vietnam through the operational revolution of the 70s and 80s to the new realities of the post-Cold War, post 9/11 military- a military with a radically different job and radically different tools for accomplishing it. A clean and highly entertaining copy with marginal notes; very presentable and one-of-a-kind.
