Thoroughly illustrated and in the original, unclipped dustwrapper. The first edition of this work, a scarce volume. The BBC Year Book of 1947, interestingly the year in which the Royal Charter of the BBC came into operation. Covering every aspect of the Corporation's work: from the leading article by the Director-General, Sir William Haley, to the last page of the Reference section, it is packed with information and discussion. Illustrated throughout with forty pages of photographs. With unclipped dustwrapper. In the original publisher's cloth binding, with titles stamped in gilt to spine. Externally lovely with only minor bumping to head and tail of spine. Dustwrapper is unclipped and smart with slight shelfwear and edge wear. Spine to wrapper is slightly sunned. internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Profusely illustrated throughout. Near Fine
