It presents the sounds of Beatles' fans before, during & after the Beatles' concert of August 23rd, 1966 at Shea Stadium in New York City. From the records notes on sleeve: Fans Themselves Describe Action While It's Happening. The Beatles came to Shea Stadium and 55,000 fans came to their feet en masse to welcome the world's top rock 'n roll group in what may be their last-ever appearance anywhere as a group.... .Mass screams of fans have been recorded before, by the distant microphones of radio and TV; but this record appears to be the first in which a high fidelity recorder was right there next to the girls. For a few minutes you hear the close-up individual screams, sobs, moans and happily incoherent expressions of the girls as they express their appreciation of the music..... This is an actual audio-report of audience reaction before, during and after a Beatles' concert.
