About This Item
Cairo, Egypt: American University in Cairo Press, 1990. No marks or inscriptions. Creasing to upper corners of covers, very faint crease to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and very slightly indented front. 165pp. The author lived with the Ma'aza Bedouin peoples in the northern half of Egypt's Eastern Desert for nearly two years. During this time he learnt their beliefs, their ways and their knowledge of this drought-stricken desert which they consider their beloved homeland, conserving their few resources to ensure their future livelihood. He shows how the Ma'aza have evolved from being abusers to being preservers of the natural environment - a lesson we could all benefit from learning.. Soft Cover. Very Good (-). 9 x 5.75 inches.

About Godley Books
We have been selling mainly non-fiction books for over 20 years and now have a very varied stock of around 10,000 books. As not all are yet online, please ask us for your search items as we may have the book you are seeking waiting to be catalogued. Our delivery company Royal Mail has twice increased overseas prices during 2020, in particular to the USA, so our shipping rates have been amended to reflect this.
