New York: Random House, (1980). First edition. INSCRIBED BY WARREN on front endpaper, "To/ Walter & Jane,/ in all friendship,/ Red/ Fairfield, Conn./ October 2, 1980," and with Warren's HAND-CORRECTION to date on dedication page. Walter Sullivan (1924-2006) was an author, critic, longtime Vanderbilt University professor, authority on Southern literature and -- along with Warren -- one of the founding members of The Fellowship of Southern Writers. His wife, Jane Harrison Sullivan (1923-2022), taught English literature at Aquinas College. Copper-stamped quarter linen over white paper boards; 108 pages. Few marks to cloth at rear (appears to be imperfection in or under the fabric) otherwise fine in near fine dust jacket with just a touch of minor creasing.
