London, Collins, 1947.. FIRST EDITION 1947, 8vo, mid blue cloth lettered silver, frontispiece and text illustrations by Joyce Bruce, some full page, 256 pages. No inscriptions, slightest lean to spine, 3 mm (1/8") faded at top and bottom of spine and along top and bottom of covers, very slight faint foxing to top edges, minute pale brown spot to margin of page 14, otherwise a very good plus clean copy in very good plus DUSTWRAPPER (dw: not price clipped, spine lettering slightly off centre, faint browning to spine, slightest rub to head of spine, 15 mm (¾") closed tear at top of lower fold, another 5 mm (¼") at foot of lower hinge).
