Bound in half brown leather with green cloth boards and gilt tiles to front panel and spine, this Bound Up Collection of Belvederian Magazines runs from Volume 11, No. 1 Summer 1909 to Volume 11 No 3, Summer, 1911. Photos on most pages of College activities with many class photos and individual portraits of Staff members. Sports well covered and excursions, exam results,and Prize Giving. First Communicants were photograhed in May, 1911. Poetry and Drama featured and a visit to Holiday camp in Co. Dublin; Bell tents pictured. James Tyrell reports on a trip to Constantinople during the Revolution of April 1909. Junior Essay Prize winner in 1910 was Leo Fitzpatrick, who wrote on the subject, "The Conversion of Ireland to Christianity". Many tabulated results of sports with names displayed. A good looking leather-bound volume, slight rubbing to spine, with sound tight binding and having the engraved Bookplate marked "+ Thasos" and with motto "Miserans Miserebitur Tui". on fixed front endpaper. Condition is all VG. . Very Good. Half Leather. First Edition. 1909.
