London: Marlborough AG Schellenberg FL, 1969-70. First edition. One of 150 numbered screenprints initialed by Kitaj (there were also 10 artist's proofs). Kinsman 37. Kitaj's series of fifty screenprints consists of reproductions of original bookcovers of left-wing tracts, antisemitic pamphlets, popular novels, and critical essays. A representative cross-section of Kitaj's reading, Kitaj once said "For me books are what trees are for the landscape painter.. Fine condition. Original screenprint, in colors, approximately 22 1/2 x 30 1/2 inches. Fine condition.
