Grosset & Dunlap Publishers, New York, 1915. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Green coloured cloth covered boards with black coloured decoration to the extreme edges of the front panel; with, black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. The story of Sylvia Marshall a young woman born in the late 19th century by to forwardthinking parents under the Montessori education system and on the surface outwardly to her parents' values. But, every so often her aunt Victoria – who keeps are mention in Vermont and an apartment in Paris – comes into her life and she starts questioning everything as she responds to the luxury of it all. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners. A few small white dots to the lower edge of the front panel and rear panel; with sunning and rubbing of the titling to the back strip. Light age toning of the text block edges and pages stop erasure mark to the top right hand corner of the free front end page. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [4], V - VI, [2], 3 - 480, [2] pages..
