Newspaper. 20p. + a 12p. insert, folded tabloid newspaper, stories, news, opinion, reviews, events, photos, ads, evenly toned, else very good on newsprint. This issue is from the late '70s era when the Barb had evolved into a quality paper with (mostly) serious journalism afoot. Cover on San Francisco private eyes, with an article on classic detective novels, a review of the 1978 version of the "The Big Sleep," an interview with a private detective, and an interview with Margo St. James (who was a private eye in addition to a sex worker and activist.).
