About This Item

New York, NY New Directions Books, 1957. Mass Market Paperback First Edition Thus (1957); Revised from the original hardcover 1947 edition. Second Printing (1959). Scattered, rather messy UNDERLINING AND MARGINALIA. Else, Very Good to Very Good+ in Wraps: shows indications of careful use: former owner's name and address at the inside of the front cover; light wear to extremities, with several creases near the lower corner of the front panel; mild rubbing and faint soiling to wrapper covers; a couple of faint stress crease to the backstrip; the binding is square and secure. Clearly, this is a flawed copy, but one that is structurally sound and tightly bound, showing mild wear and minor, unobtrusive flaws. Would make an attractive reading copy. Remainder, showing a small mark at the bottom edge. NOT Book-Club or Ex-Library. 12mo. (7.15 x 4.25 x 0.65 inches). xxv, 256 pages. Includes extensive Appendices, Biographical Notes, Key to Quotations, and Index. Language: English. Weight: 8.5 ounces. Published by James Laughlin. First Edition Thus (1957); Amended from the original hardcover 1947 edition. Second Printing (1959).Mass Market Paperback.
