London: Hamish Hamilton. Very Good+ in Very Good- dust jacket. 1959. First Edition. Hardcover. 96 p. 19 cm. Sound and square binding in yellow, cloth-covered boards with red stamped titles and illustration. Very light wear to the corners and edges. Small spot of blue ink on inside top rear edge and a small smudge on the rear endpaper. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustwrapper has a 1.75" tear along rear flap. There is wear to the corners and edges, and rear panel and spine have some soiling. Front panel has a bit of soiling but is still quite attractive. A few creases on the rear flap. Not price clipped. The story of a poodle named Bertram and how he comes to live with Peter, Ann, Jane, and Timothy. Illustrated in black and white. Part of the publisher's Antelope Books series for young children. A scarce copy. .
