Daytona Beach: Rook Press 3 hand printed and bound volumes, 9" H. "Beulah" - 1970, dark blue cloth with white lettering and Rook Press emblem on front board, 25 pp, No. 25 of 52 copies. Lino & woodcuts in /black/pink/white /blue/orange. Inscribed on title page: "April 22 - 1975 / A near lifetime has / just been reviewed / by two old men, one F___ D___, the / other / Kark Krause". An old man and his beagle, Beulah, are stopped in their travels across Florida by a sinkhole in the road and end up helping at a birth that is also attended by three strangers bearing gifts. An almost-Christmas story, but it's January 6th and the baby is a girl. "Tommy" - 1972, reddish brown cloth with dark brown lettering on spine and front board, Rook Press emblem on front board, unpaginated, No. 12 of 52 copies. Linocuts in pink/black/orange /red/green/blue/gray. Inscribed on dedication page: "Christmas '72 / To Ruth & Fred / Best Wishes / Karl". A year (1908) in the life of four and a half year old Tommy, who lives in Toronto, Canada. Each month has a page of text within a colour border and is faced with a full page linocut. Father bring home a phonograph, Tommy and Charles get measles, fresh vegetables are delivered by horse and cart, the family visits Sunnyside and watch bicyle races, Tommy starts kindergarten, gas lighting is installed at home and Christmas is celebrated. "952 King" - 1974, light and dark green cloth with dark green lettering on spine and front board, dark green Rook Press emblem on front board, floral endpapers, 27pp, No. 14 of 55 copies. Pen & ink sketches, with the "frontispiece and the illustration on page 22 colored by hand." Inscribed on limitation page: "Merry Christmas / to Ruth and Fred / Karl / 1974". Christmas Eve, 1913 and Tommy learns surprising things about his family, even Aunt Bessy who lives at 952 King Street West, Toronto. Small stamp from bookstore on front free endpapers and at the bottom of the title page of 952 King. All volumes are protected in a stiff mylar sleeve.. Inscribed by author/illustrator..
