Signed and inscribed by the author on the front endpaper: 'For Stanley, remembering with gratitude the Alice Goodman Memorial Lecture, of 1983, from Huston.' Additionally enclosed is a typewritten letter signed by Smith having orginally accompanied the present volume. The dust jacket shows one corner lightly rubbed, a hint of shelf rubbing of the edges, and a light scuff of the spine, otherwise remains bright, colorful, and distinct. As pictured.
