About This Item

Thomas B. Mosher, 1895. First Editions First Printings. Hardcover. Like New. The Bibelot: A Reprint of Poetry and Prose for Book Lovers, chosen in part from scarce editions and sources not generally known. A COMPLETE SET OF 21 VOLUMES 1-20 + Index. Smaller Hardcover bound books. Near Fine (9 of 10) / in Very Good+ dustjackets (8 of 10). / in Very Good- slipcases (6 of 10) on average. Several volumes (7, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21) have _uncut_ pages - the pages have never been opened or read. Several still have the cardboard cover that slips into the slipcase to fully protect the dj spine. The DustJackets are now protected inside archival plastic protector sleeves. Most of the dj's have some acid browning from the cardboard slipcases & covers as usual. This set is in the best condition we've ever heard tell of, or seen. Some specific volumes have some minor damage: 16 - scratch/tear to dj spine, 21 - tiny hole to dj spine, and the slipcase is broken, 14 - half split to one top edge of the slipcase. All the other slipcases have wear to the corners but are still firm. Cream paper spines with light blue paper covered boards & dustjackets, 4 raised bands, printed paper spine labels & slipcase labels, outer & lower page edges untrimmed. We have included extensive photos of a volume so you can see a sample of the low end of the condition, most volumes have less browning to the dj. [The Bibelot featured the lesser known works of writers such as Algernon Charles Swinburne, William Morris, Arthur Symons, D. G. Rossetti, Austin Dobson, J. A. Symonds, Robert Louis Stevenson, Oscar Wilde, and Fiona MacLeod.]. * * * * * * * * * * [FREE Media Mail Shipping! Images available for any item, just ask.
