London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1904 Book. Good. Burgundy Buckram. First Edition. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Vol 1: The Old Testament in Art, five books bound in one volume. Vol 2: The New Testament - two books bound in one volume: The Gospels in Art and The Apostles in Art. Gilt design to front boards and spines. Both volumes profusely illustrated with black and white plates, some tissue-guarded. Top edges gilt. Spines faded, Vol 2 frontis detached, spines and corners bumped, occasional foxing, former owners' names to frontis and hinges cracked, otherwise good condition. Very heavy set of books, extra postage will be required if ordering outside the UK..
