London, Baldwin, Cradock And Joy, 1823.. Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 12 mo - 7.75 x 6.7 inches apprxo, Brown leather spine and corners, marbled paper covered baords, signs of wear and use in the form of rubbing and scuffing, paper printed title label fixed to front board, spine cracked and scuffed to extremities particularly at the head and tail, still looks extremely charming given its age and use, two pasted book plates from previous owners to front paste-down, and two neat hand written names of previous owners to front endpaper, cracking along front hinge, the binding is fragile but holding together, internally the pages are very clean and free from marks, Decoratively printed title page being clean and whole, the information on the title page states that it is 'Dedicated by Permission to His Grace The Archbishop of York, ' there is some evidence of worm damage on a section of pages, this is towards the hinge in the lower half of the pages, this nibbling does not detract from the essentially good condition that the book is in; viii, 31 numbered pages including the index, preceded by 26 single and double page biblical maps engraved by Richard Palmer including one fold-out map, this book has been treasured, used and enjoyed by previous owners. Rare .
