New York: Simon & Schuster, 1936. The "Authorized Version" of the King James Bible, including the Old and New Testaments, "Designed to be read as Living Literature." This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition Thus, edited and arranged by Ernest Sutherland Bates. Large octavo. Blue cloth binding with gilt lettering on spine; illustrated endpapers. Clean and bright text. The dustjacket, not often seen, is complete, with some tearing and chipping mainly confined to the spine. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Thus.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good.
