Hard cover, 8vo, [in terra cotta cloth, [2], v-cl, [2] =150pp. Joseph Sabin (1821 - 1881) was an Anglo-American bibliographer and bookseller, most famous for his multi-volume "Dictionary of Books Relating to America". In this book, Sabin compiles a list of bibliographies and works on printing and typography. He based his listings on the nineteenth century work of John Power, and "a large portion was reproduced in the American Bibliopolist," according to Sabin's introduction, yet was somewhat lacking in merit.
