Philadelphia: Chilton Book Company, 1962. Inscribed, dated and signed by author on front end page. Book is in very nice condition inside and out. DJ is whole and clean with light rubbing and very minor edge wear, protected by a clear mylar jacket. Courlander's novel chronicling the life of Richard Creeks, a wandering Africa American "minstrel" and laborer, in Georgia and Mississippi in the 1950's and 1960's. This way of life as a "natural man" was fading into history when this book was written.. Signed by Author(s). 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good.
