Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1939. 2nd Edition 2nd Printing. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Blue Pyramid (Second) edition presumed first printing c. 1939. Hardback book is tight with a slight lean. Boards have light marking and softened corners. Bumped to head and foot of spine, minor rubbing to joints. title gilt perfect. Text block clean, with expected toning and a dusty top edge. Neat ink name to top edge of front pastedown, and pencil price to FEP. The pages are crisp with occasioanl feint spot, no loose pages or writing. Colour plate frontispiece present and firmly bound in. Feels read but well bound, hinges solid. Good condition. No jacket. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A solid example of this collectible title in the Blue Pyramid edition likely printed 1939. A good item for a Biggles collection.
