About This Item
From the dust jacket, back flap: "In 1939, Vaughan came to work for the Kansas City Star, where he remained for thirty-seven years, except for three years spent in the Army Air Force in World War II. Shortly after his return from Europe, Vaughan was given "Starbeams," thought to be the oldest continuously published column in the country (it originated in 1880).
