About This Item
Mnchen: Georg Mller, 1922. Very Good. FIRST EDITION. In German. 8vo, with b/w plates. Contemporary art binding: three quarters parchment, spine lettered in gilt, wonderful purple and black block-printed paper boards. Top edge gilt. New endpapers. Parchment darkened, extremities bumped. Some foxing. Else, tight and tidy. Very good. An attractive copy of Renner's important work. Paul Renner (18781956) was a German typeface designer, author, and founder of the Master School for Germany's Printers in Munich. Five years after publishing this title, he designed his hugely successful Futura typeface.
