About This Item

London: A friend of Junius, 1982. Single sheet folded to make 8-panel brochure, approximately 3.5x8.5 inches when folded; light handling wear. Cover panel has cartoon of furtive figure scissoring a stack of papers behind a door marked "Boredom, Inc." A polemic against Ken Knabb for his allegedly poor translation and biased editing of the Situationist International Anthology. For example, on his rendering of detourner as detourn, the author snarks, "Just like that, out of the blue California sky a pseudo-language is spat, no need for translating anymore, one wonders who will speak such a language apart from all the voyeurs of revolutionary theory who are afraid to live and belong in pseuds corner.
