About This Item

Christian National Crusade, 1962. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Blue cloth hardcover with silver lettering to the front; no jacket; 90 pages. No edition stated but probably a first; 1962 on title page. Very good condition: shows only very slight use. Appears to be a racist response against the Supreme Court decision on Brown vs. Board of Education. On title page it states "This report has been prepared by commission of the Governor of Alabama." A quote from page 77: "I am sorry that the need to protect the White race and our civilization against the evil results of false and insistent propaganda has made it necessary to present data that may hurt the feelings of some fine and able Negroes, but the alternatives is greater tragedy." New plastic protective jacket..
