London, Macmillan & Co. 1938 1st. Hardback, approx 8 x 6 inches. In cream cloth with red lettering and black figure illustrations to front and spine. In original illustrated dustrapper. In very good condition with very good rare dustwrapper. (DW; edges rubbed, small chips to corners, tears/loss at ends of spine, some darkening to rear. In protective sleeve. NOT price clipped.) Some slight darkening to spine and edges of cloth on cover, else cloth & printing bright. Neat inscription to front endpaper “Sylvia Read, 1938, Raymond.” Slight darkening to rear of frontis plate, some mild foxing spots to title page and page edges, else pages very clean and tight throughout. 169pp. With 8 full-page colour illustrations and many smaller B&W illustrations within text.

The village has a by-pass now which means there is easy access to the village and ample space for parking. Our shop is directly on the main road through the village.
