London: H. F.& G. Witherby Ltd, 1949. 1st Edition. Blue Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Gibson - Hill; C. A . 216pp. Illustrated with numerous b/w photographic plates and contains numerous line drawings. Gilt embossed lettering to the spine. Slight shelf lean. Slight foxing to the upper fore edges. Clean and tight. Pictorial dust wrapper not price clipped. A few short tears from the edges of the wrapper for no more than 1 cm in length with a little associated creasing. Several nicks to the wrapper at the tail of the spine, otherwise almost entirely complete. A very good copy of this first edition.
