While hiding out on a Peruvian island, an emotionally numb young woman has sex with a group of sailors on a beach. Meanwhile, her wealthy husband and his strange chauffeur search for her, to no avail. One of the first films to receive an X rating from the MPAA, purportedly written by director Romain Gary about his marriage to actress Jean Seberg.
Shot on location in Mauritania.
