About This Item
Montreal: Bizarre Pub. Co, 1946. Original wraps. Very Good. The fragile, uncommon first printing of issue #3 (1946) of this seminal fashion magazine, published out of Montreal from the mid 1940s through the early 60s and focusing on discipline and bondage. Light soiling to the rear panel and one pronouced vertical crease running from its top to bottom edge. A bit of light soiling as well to the covers but still, solid and very presentable, and with no writing internally to the blue pages. Edited and published by the formidable John Coutts, who was better known by his pseudonym, John Willie (who created "Sweet Gwendoline", among other characters). A very influential, oft-republished magazine (by Taschen, for example) that paved the way for bondage and S&M and spanking literature that began to appear in the 60s and 70s.
