Toronto: Macmillan. Very Good+ in Very Good+ dust jacket. 1952. First Edition. Hardcover. 224 p. 18 cm. Sound and square binding in blue, cloth-covered boards. A bit of rub wear to the edges and corners. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustjacket has light edge-wear, with tiny chip of colour loss at the head of the spine. Some light soiling to the rear panel. Not price clipped. The story of a fourteen year old girl named Pam and the adventures she has sailing her dinghy with her brother and solving the mystery of some stolen sailboats. This is the Canadian-born author's first book, published when she was just eighteen. Marianne MacDonald went on to write mystery novels featuring the antiquarian bookseller Dido Hoare. .
