San Francisco: Western Authors Publishing Company, 1892. First Edition. Second issue, in printed wrapper by Johnson & Emigh, San Francisco. Octavo (19cm). In original tan paper wraps, printed in black; 280pp; publisher's ads to rear wrapper; frontispiece portrait. Wrappers largely intact with tiny chips at edges, front cover with long splits at upper and lower joint, spine chipped and cracked, with minor loss at tail, discoloration along joints; one leaf detached (p.133-4), prelims lightly toned, but overall a Very Good copy.
The scarce second issue of the first edition of Bierce's collected poetry, uncommon in the trade in this condition. BAL 1111. STARRETT 10. GAER p.12.
