Hardback/annual format, undated but thought to be circa early 1950s so an early and apparently scarce edition, illustrated (including coloured frontispiece and four additional colour plates), published by The Thames Publishing Co., London, 140 pages.
Measures around 9" by 6 5/8" by 1". Red cloth spine, pictorial paper on card boards. Some discolouration to spine. Scuffing and a little marking to boards, signs of shelf-wear to board and spine edges with chipping at board edges, bumped and torn corners. Binding reasonably firm. Page edges browned, foxed and scuffed. Some foxing throughout page surfaces, though mainly in endpapers. Stamp to front free endpaper. Otherwise page surfaces clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
