About This Item
London: Bell and Daldy, 1870. Note: this is not a book; it is an antique print from the 1870 edition of A HISTORY OF BRITISH BIRDS, written by Francis Orpen Morris. This second edition is preferred because it is larger than the first edition and has more vibrant hand-coloring. The image was designed by Lydon, printed by Benjamin Fawcett, and hand-colored by a team of women under the direction of Fawcett's wife. The print is in excellent condition--clean and bright, with a couple of tiny faint spots of foxing.. Second Edition. Paper. Collectible-Fine. Illus. by Alexander Francis Lydon. 10" X 6 3/4". Antique Print.
