A tribute to the Blackfeet Native Americans, which recounts their history through the period when they were forced to become farmers after the near extinction of the buffalo and beaver upon which they lived. The book was commissioned by Great Northern Railway to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Glacier National Park – land was bought from the Blackfeet Nation in the 1880s by the government. The Book: – minor rubbing of the book corners and backstrip corners. Age toning and the very occasional spot to the textblock edges, and, very minor age toning of the pages. The Slipcase: – the envelope part of the slipcase has a few nicks and rubs where it has come in contact with the outside world; sunning to both edges and to the panel. The slipcase itself has chipping of all four "backstrip" edges with rubbing of the panels and edges. Sunning to the top edge and a few stains to the rear panel – which incidentally has a gift "postcard" embossed. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. [8], 9 - 65, [5] pages,.
