About This Item

New York: Winchester Press, 1974. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/very good. Not quite fiction, but certainly not nonfiction either, Don't Blame the Fish is described by its author as nonsense based on actual happenings. All of the characters--well, nearly all--are people you'd like to fish with, and have a few drinks with after your sport. Warner's witty words are complimented perfectly by the light-hearted illustrations of New Yorker cartoonist William B O'Brian. Warner has been fishing addictively since he was a child and even found the time, while serving with the OSS during World War II, to sample the streams and rivers of China, Burma, India, and Ceylon. Former library book with usual stickers and marks affecting mostly the endpages. There is a very faint library stamp on the leading edge page block. Book is in very good condition with minor edge wear. The dust jacket, not clipped, is rubbed and bumped at stress points and has a small piece missing off the inside front flap. Covered in plastic that has smudges and surface scuffing and yellowed taped. The picture is a scan of the actual book.

About Trolls Treasure

Home-based, online sales only. I am running out of space to keep my collection of books, but I cannot bypass any chance offered at searching out some interesting venue offering books. I dithered for quite some time over this problem, and went right on buying books, until it occurred to me that I could make room for new purchases if I started selling some of my books. So, here I am, a small business, but offering personal service. Happy to answer questions.
