The second title, in a first London edition, is Porcupine's autobiography, and a chief source for details of his childhood and early career. The last work, A BONE TO GNAW, is in a later London edition (after the first American of 1795), published by John Wright, who added A ROD FOR THE BACKS OF THE CRITICS, "by Humphrey Hedgehog," which is described by Pearl as "a labored attack on the British reformers and the hostile reviewers of Cobbett's OBSERVATIONS. An unusual collected group of British editions of Cobbett's American works. PEARL 14, 17, 5. HOWES C519. REESE, FEDERAL HUNDRED 57 (ref)
