There is some light foxing to the dust jacket with a few small stains to the front edge of its front panel. 224 pages. The fore-edge is slightly foxed. Very good. <p>First American edition.<p>Raymond Queneau [19031976) was a French novelist, poet, scientist and mathematician, notable for his wit and cynical humor. He was active in the Surrealist movement until 1929. He was co-founder of Ouvroir de littérature potentielle (Oulipo) and from 1956 directed Gallimard's massive publication Encyclopedie de la Pleiade.<p>Translated from the French by Barbara Wright.
