"This is a picture of the W.R.N.S from its small start in 1939 to the height of its important and varied work during the later years of the war, and afterwards its reduction to a piece-time Service." Cover: navy blue, gold titles, light rubbing and small faint soilings. Thin bumping and light rubbing to head & foot of spine and to corner tips. Once dark blue head edge now quite faded. Light foxing to fore and bottom edges. Head of fep with price-cut. Quite clean content. B&w illustrations with only one with small smudges to its whitespace. Binding very good. 293p. First Edition. Hb. VG/None.
