Dark blue dust jacket with bright yellow shield outlined in red folk flowers. Dust jacket has been neatly repaired at the edges with old matte tape, front flap price clipped. Book itself is slightly sunned at top edge of front cover, interior is clean, paper is creamy. A previous reader has made a neat list of recipes in faint pencil on the first blank at the rear. A continental bon vivant's engaging essays on food and eating in "the greatest of Europe's gastonomic sancta santorum" in the first half of the 20th century. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 288 pages .
