Satirist Vonnegut's novel about the American abstract expressionisn movement of the 1940s and '50s features painter Rabo Karabekian, a minor character in Vonnegut's "Breakfast Of Champions," whose pictures all fell apart due to poor choices in materials. Text is clean, tight, square; dustjacket shows small dime-sized stain at bottom end of spine and corner of front panel, o/w minimal surface and edgewear. Collectable.
Synopsis
Kurt Vonnegut ’s black humor, satiric voice, and incomparable imagination first captured America’s attention in The Sirens of Titan in 1959 and established him as “a true artist” ( The New York Times ) with Cat’s Cradle in 1963. He was, as Graham Greene declared, “one of the best living American writers.” Mr. Vonnegut passed away in April 2007.
