New York: Doubleday & Mcclure Company. Good+ with no dust jacket. 1899. Hardcover. This is an early printing for this classic dog story which was first issued in 1898. The rear inner hinge is cracked and there is some rubbing to the blue cloth covers. The gilt cover lettering is bright; the gilt spine lettering is a little dull. There is no owner name and the pages are clean and unmarked. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 356 pages .
