SIXTH EDITION 1948 (first published in 1941), 8vo, 178 x 115 mm, 7 x 4½ inches, tan textured boards, mounted colour plate, endpapers illustrated in black line, 24 text pages plus 1 page catalogue. 24 delightful full page coloured illustrations, small black and white vignettes in the text. Story of naughty young squirrel who, although not dressed, lives with his family in a normal house with tables and table-cloths, crockery etc. No inscriptions, faint browning to endpapers, bookseller's tiny stamp at foot of front pastedown, neat name on blank following front endpaper, contents very clean and bright. A near Fine copy in VG DUSTWRAPPER (dw: not price clipped, tiny chips at head and tail of spine and corners, spine and folds very slightly rubbed, 40 mm (2½") closed tear next to head of spine on upper cover, head of spine and one corner repaired neatly with clear tape, with a little tape on right side at head of spine, 2 other very small closed edge tears).
