Very good condition. Very scarce first Australian edition published same year as first US and UK editions. Collins to lower book spine and 'The Crime Club' to lower d.j. spine. A list of author's 3 latest titles on rear d.j. flap, all printed in 1941 with no references to subsequent printings. The novel features the author's fictional amateur detective, Miss Marple. 1st Australian. Boards in d.j..
Synopsis
The Body in the Library is a work of detective fiction by Agatha Christie and first published in the US by Dodd, Mead and Company in February 1942 and in UK by the Collins Crime Club in May of the same year. The US edition retailed at $2.00 and the UK edition at seven shillings and sixpence (7/6). The novel features her fictional amateur detective Miss Marple.
