Seemingly a successful man Bertram Armytage, popular sportsman, fought in the Boer War, expert horseman, and decorated in London for his achievements as part of Ernest Shackleton's great 1907-1909 polar expedition, went home to Australia and shot himself. 170 pages with 48 pages of black and white illustrations and a map. Book in very good+ condition with small green mark on first page and small sticker on front cover.
