Seattle.: Boeing Aircraft Company., circa 1947. Color pictorial boards, plastic comb binding.. Good plus, rear outer hinge split, contents very good.. 26x35.5 cm.. Rare, OCLC locates only three copies. The largest airliner of its day, the Stratocruiser was produced from 1947-1950. With its speed and range it was popular for trans-oceanic flights until the advent of jet-powered commercial aircraft. Included with this are four 8x10 glossy production photos, four 8x10 airplane interior photos, four 8x10 glossy photos of a scantily clad dancing girl at what appears to be an office party. Also seven 11x17 production photos - one marked on back as a Robert Yarnall Richie photograph, and three 11x17 mountain landscape photos by an unknown photographer, possibly Richie? weight: 2.2 lb. Color and duo-tone illustrations throughout.
