Near Fine/Near Fine. 1983 later printing, inscribed and dated 1986 by Historian Oscar Lewis in black ink on first free page, 341 pages plus bibliography and index, Octavo: 8.75 inches in height by 6 inches in width, entertaining detailed history of the world famous Bonanza Hotel in San Francisco, built in 1875 it was destroyed by the 1906 earthquake and fire. History of the era, mining and growth of a metropolis, 35 illustrations. Book is near Fine, tight and square with sharp points, ultra clean white cloth ha a few small foxing marks probably from the binding glue. Jacket is near Fine, illustration of the Bonanza on front panel, light wear to head and heel of spine and corners, shows nicely in new mylar sleeve. Very clean and most presentable inscribed edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
